do you use the handsets that look like a gun or the one with the 2 sticks or either?

RE: stick or trigger?

I think hes talking about transmitters. I like the trigger thing even though I thought I would never get used to it. See I had this really old rc car that didnt have a way to turn and it was a trigger transmitter so I thought that these things could only go straight. Yea Yea YEa call me an idiot but I seriously thought that. But now I like the trigger one because I just like the way it looks and its kinda comforatable. Also, the only sticks im used to are the ones on my old toy rc cars and I know that a hobby grade stick transmitter is going to be a lot bigger and I dont think that it would be as comfortable as a trigger because of the size of my hand. My hand is really small its just not as large as a grown man and I think stick controllers are geared towards an older customer.

pistol grip. My thumbs don't like the stick ones. I don't even know how to hold them. Do you grab the sticks with index and thumb or just use your thumb like a video game controller?

;) looks like i'm the only one who voted both ...Since the question is what we're using not what we prefer to use.For me it doesn't matter.I'm used to both but mostly the pistol grip is used often it's more comfortable.

Can't really find really good high end stick controllers for surface r/c in the market.Plus alot of manufacturers makes really crappy cheapo stick controllers also explains why a pistol controller sells better . lol

:D

I liek a good stick radio, but they are hard to find. I am getting used to the pistol grip. the sticks just came natural to me. I am a video game junky too, so that helped.

i play a lot of computer games but i still cant get the most out of a stick cos of the steerting is on the right hand side and on a game controller its on the left. my first car was a trigger so im more used to htem anyway

The first RC I had was a cheap one or what I call a toy and it came with the stick transmitter. Then when I got my first real RC nitro it came with the pistol transmitter and I did not think I would like it until I got use to it and now I will never go back to a stick!!!! :D

The trigger system is great for the gas system.

Cars & Boats: Pistol grip TX
Planes, Helis, & Submarines: Stick TX

If you need more than 3 channels for any vehicle, I think your stuck with sticks, though...

Unless my car says Tyco or Nikko on the side. I'll stick with the pistol. Much easier to control. My girlfriend prefers the stick though. I guess it's just personal preference.
