another problem!!!

today, i tried starting my rs4 2 with the fe 15, i just put a new pull start, on/off switch and glow plug in, it dosnt start, so take it inside and test the glow ignitor, then i take out the new glow plug, i notice there was metal in the threads of the glow plug, i look at the hole in the head, and it was missing threads(it is the stock head). i didnt ever over tighten the glow plug, im angry because there hasnt been more than 2 week's where something hasnt gone wrong with my car. well im not even going to try and put the glow plug in and start it with the remaining threads, because i'll just destroy the engine, has this ever happned to anyone else? and is it worth double the price to get the 7 fin aluminum heat sink head from hpi as opposed to the stock replacement head?

you might be getting the metal flakes into your piston and sleeve if you try .. smart move that you have the patience.. Open the head up. and change the button head on the motor.

no point to use it with the minimal thread it has. It will leak air and you'll never get it to tune right.

It's not the cooling head problem now .. it's the button head....

Sad to say honestly i'll be looking for a new motor now. The fe .15 looks like trouble as since they use a low quality alluminium for the button head that strips threads imagine what they have for the bearings?..

I only run off road and do not know if this is a good choice for you but check it out. I do know it is a WHOLE lot better then the poor HPI .15 FE as I had one of them in my Rush when I got it. All so the price is right on the OS .18 CV-RX right as $100.

This one will be easier to hook up as it has a rotary carburetor on it like your stock motor.
