steering alignment
hi, i have a cen ct4s and i was wondering how do adjust the steering alignment. when i turn to the left, the left front tire doesn't go back to a centered position like the right wheel does, so it pulls to the left. also, i was playing around with the steering and i noticed that one of the bars that controls the steering catches on the main belt when turning. can u guys please help me out here.

RE: steering alignment
I don't have that kit, however general RC car setup should be the same. Disconnect the rods that go from servo horn to servo saver (disconnect servo saver side) so the steering flops around. Center the servo saver (NOT by looking at the tyres, look at the servo saver) Don't touch servo saver. Now look at the tyres- they both should point straight ahead. If they don't you need to adjust the turnbuckle rods from the servo saver to the steering arms. Remove the turnbuckle rods to the side that isn't straight and shorten or lengthen depending on that side is pointing inwards or outwards. Don't adjust one side that is straight. Once that is done center the TX center points, then center the servo (by switching on RX) then refit servo horn (checking horn is placed center of servo movement) Then double check servo saver is is centered- then adjust rods servo turnbuckles from servo horn to servo saver. Lengthen or shorten each rod from the horn to the servo saver so the screw/bolt points directly into the servo saver (servo doesn't push/pull strain against itself)
So once you've finished-with the servo saver is at center- the tyres will be directly forward. Servos will be at center too, with only a 5little adjustment needed from transmitter to correct slight drift. |
