Humping or Not Humping
Hey everyone.
I'm currently running radioshack rechargable batterieres. But I was wondering if a hump pack would be better, but I can not find a hump with over 2000 mAh, and under 15 dollars These are the battery that I'm useing http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...%5Fid=23%2D532 So if you see a 5 cell hump pack with over 2000 mAh and cost under 15, please tell me, or just tell me what you are runing you in your car Thanks |

Hey, hands down hump packs are far superior to rechargeable AA batteries, you get way more power out of a hump pack than a AA pack. IMO spend the money and get yourself a good hump pack, you get what you pay for. As far as any over 2000 mAh, the most I have seen is 1900 mAh. Anyways, check this link out, it's to Tower Hobbies, it'll give you an idea of what's out there, but again, don't chince on the battery. I'm running a Peak Racing Hump Pack in my Savage (1400 mAh), a Trinity Monster pack in my Kyosho (14 or 1500 can't remember).

RE: Humping or Not Humping
You can also make your own out of any 2300-2500 AA. Or get one made. That way you still get the increased capacity.

RE: Humping or Not Humping
Bah, 1100mah is plenty. I've never run out of juice unless i forgot to charge it before going out. Get two if you're planning on being out for a long time, and swap out after a few hours.

RE: Humping or Not Humping
Well I found out that Duracell makes rechargable AA and they have 300 more mAh than the Radioshack one, and you get a 30 minute charger. Now can you find a hump pack better than that?

RE: Humping or Not Humping
I just seen a ballistic pack with 2500, but I am not sure it is AA size and it was definatly over $15.
the only way that I know of to get over 2000 is to buy the cells form batteryspace and make it youself. |
RE: Humping or Not Humping
i have a real car battery hooked up in my pit box connected to a fast charger and i use 150Ah batts so i charge one whilst runnin the other. the hole set up cost £32 for the charger and £9 per batterie and i got the car batterie for free and i already had a charger for one. i know the batts arent the hump style but i use a zip tie to hold it on to my chassis (like a savage chassis) and if i run my car for an hour a day it lasts me way over a week so i dont really need a fast charger but it looks cool in my box hehe.

RE: Humping or Not Humping
i bought another battery yesterday for £8. its only 1000mAh but its tiny and its the only one that will fit in my car receiver box. iv gone off my other design of it hanging off the side as the other day my exhaust got ripped off after clipping a tree and if that had been a battery then the car could of gone wot. works great and i can charge it in 4 mins so i just charge it when it runs out
