Fast Car
I was just wondering what some of the fastest cars are out there.
I am looking for something that can move real fast. Thanks, Jody |
Fast Car

They have "cars" that can reach 200 mph on a circle track.
The HPI Nitro RS4 can be hopped up to over 100mph if you really want to spend the money for it. Most of the 1/8 scale buggies can get up to 60mph stock if you get the engine tuned just right. |

200 mph!!!! no way!! the tires would shred! i gotta admit im dought full, but do you have a link or something? i gotta see this!!
that would be awesome! how would you keep track of the car? |

Thanks, Jody Fastest production rc stuff that I've ever heard about. There lots of good pictures and info on the Schumacher stuff at: extremercmotorsports.com . Pretty radical stuff... Big block .21 nitro engine, 3 speed transmission, FAST! If anyone knows of any faster production rc cars and trucks than this, I'd like to know too!! I've heard of fast custom nitro cars that cost $1000's to build up. It'd be cool, but I'd rather buy a stock rc car for $100's that's capable of 80mph and then hop it up from there. Be a lot cheaper to get to the big speeds that way. RC Nitro magazine hopped up a RS4 Super and got it to pull 101MPH, but they spent nearly $5000 and 8 months of work to get there!! OUCH! |

They are more of a rocket than a car.
They are called Tether cars. Here is the link: http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/cars/video.asp Kind of a big file though. And the 100mph HPI Super Nitro RS4 is there too. |

gsx-r750 i see that everbody faild to mention the 1/8 scale onroad race cars. there a little exspensive but you get what you pay for. specs: belt driven 4wd chasis, .21 size motors(turbo plug about 3hp and 40k rpm)two-speed transmission, centax clutch(adjustable without tearing down)and foam tires(tons of traction and stabilaty on the right surface)
these are the f1 of rc!! 0 to 60mph 1.5 sec....top end about 80mph depending on gearing and combo. they are the most stable and able to handle the horsepower.(there race cars) but you need a track to drive them on other wise they just spin. you will spend more trying to get a 1/10 to go really fast. these are top of the heap. none better. good luck |

The Serpent 950/Vector 1/8 On-Road car and the Mugen MRX-3 can both do 100mph+ on large tracks with the right engine, body, driver.
But don't forget the Serpent 835/Impact 1/10 235mm 4wd On-Road car. With the right gearing it will also reach 100mph, just takes a hair longer then the 1/8 scales. The 835/Impact with the lowest gearing possible will reach 60mph in about 1.5 seconds using a .15 sized engine. This car handles very well even in parking lots. Also, spinning out a car isn't because it's not on a track. The adjustments on these cars need to be extremly percise, and throttle control is a must. |
