CT4-S or The Matrix
 

i've never owned any r/c car in my life.. i'm looking to spend around 500 dollars, can go over a little, but no more that 550. I don't know if i want to get an onroad car, or a buggy. I know i want whatever ever it is to be fast!! i also want something durable. There are no tracks around here where i live.. so its either gonna be going to parking lots with the onroad car, or the buggy. i don't know of any buggy's. The only onroad car i've looked at is [link=http://store.yahoo.com/raidentech168/cenctrtrmecl.html]this one[/link] what should i get, a buggy or onroad car? and which kids bring me lots of speed, that is durable?

I just got done looking at the Matrix by CEN. I think it may be a little more suitable for me... How fast do they run? your input would be GREAT!!! thanks

Look at new 1/4 scale firehammer.Type firehammer into e-bay,if you do some searching you can pick one up around 550.00

The CT4S will do about 73.4mph out of the box while the Matrix will do about 45mph. Both vehicle are very durable and FAST>

We recommend running the onroad car on a smooth surface only. The buggy will be a better all purpose vehicle. IF you even plan to take the car out on a weekend and bash around, we recommend the matrix over the CT4.

i wouldn;t buy a CT4 as a beginner.

74 mph... is very fast - and a beginner is more than likely to put it into a pole or some other object.. you make one mis-judgement, or hit a rock or bump and its gone...

So i would also suggest the matrix.

Don't judge a car by there top speed or how fast they will go, big mistake!

speed is nice but first thing is first. when you are doing like 50mph and you swerve to dodge somthing like a dog or a kid for instance, that could be the end of your car. you are going so fast that the car will just start flipping if you turn it really sharp at those speeds.i have an Electric TC3 with a Novak Brushless in it and i hate goiing full throttle because it is just too risky. first time it happened to me a kid on a dirtbike came hauling butt down my street and i turned to miss him and i turned too sharp and my car went flipping like crazy (Stuff you would never see in Holywood) kinda flips.

Second you want to see if the parts are available in your area for the car if you break something. if not you could break something and have to buy the parts on interenet and it end up being a dust collector.

Third since you have never owned an RC Car i would recomend an electric so you get an idea of what you are getting yourself into. the only problem is if you want to go fast with an electric you are looking at spending at least $500 on a Motor and Radio alone.

if you want a car that is durrable i recommend the Nitro TC3 Plus by RC10. it is about $300 and it does about 50mph. it is a touring car. so with about an extra $200 in your pocket for upgrades later on down the road if you want em. as for buggies i dont quite know of a nitro buggy that i would buy.
