CVD problem
Got a problem that ive never seen. I got a Revo with an .18. I blew up my halfshafts, so I bought a set of steel shiny MIP CVDs. Ive used them before without a single flaw. These things for the Revo have a clamp-on outdrive that clamp to the stubs sticking out of the diffs. Problem is, when I tighten the setscrews that hold them into place, I lose almost all my diff action, its so bad, its like I'm running a spool! I just locks em' up. It doesnt seem that the outdrives are smashing against the bearings. I cant think of any reason why this happens. Any clues? Fill me in, lol. [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

RE: CVD problem
are you sure your diffs are alright? sounds very odd to me, too... are you talking with the dogbones and everything all put back together or just with the outdrives themselves on there? if not could be something on the wheel end is tightened down too much like a pillow ball? but with just the outdrives by themselves doing that and the rest not hooked up i really dont know...

RE: CVD problem
I noticed the problem, pulled the gearbox and checked the diff. I couldnt find the problem. I reassembled JUST the gearbox, and everthing was good. I placed the outdrives back on the studs coming from the diffs and tightened. No more diff action. I dunno either...[sm=drowning.gif]
