Custom Basher, need help with caster!!!

Hey guys, I am building a custom basher, just for bashing!! That means I am fabricating chassis, shock tower, A-arms, everything except the tranny, cvd's and electronics. I need help understanding the troubling issue of caster and I need someone to tell me if I am understanding this correctly. Is castor the angle of the king-pin viewed from the side in relation to the ground?? It is also the A-arms angle viewed from the side, right?? Does it work in the sense that the caster angle is used to move the directional stability of my car by changing the imaginary lines on the tires to move forward or back???. I am imagining a tire with an imaginary line running down through it to signify 90 degrees. There is the second line that signifies the castor angle, either negative(kingpin tip facing front) or positive(kingpin tip facing back) Am I getting this right? If not could someone please be nice enough to explain it to me in a easy tongue???:D

Thanks, Shredder111[>:]

I am not following you9 and can't get too technicle. The way I see caster is that it causes both tires to have camber (during a turn) They are cambered towards the inside of the corner compensating for body and chassis roll to get a larger contact patch. Caster also make the vehicle want to come stay straight or come back to center when driving.
