RE: i need help with my E-maxx.plz???

o I need a buddy or someone to drive R/C's with me. My friend has a TA-03R but he doesn't have a clue about R/C's since it was his dad who bought it, built it, and drove it and he just adopted it. My other friend loves my emaxx and he knows a lot about cars so he gets some of the R/C talk but not much. He wanted to get an emaxx but to buy the truck, batteries, charger, and all the other stufff it'd be pretty expensive. then he wanted to get the mini quake, then the vendetta, the list goes on. Finally I think he might get a rustler

To get back to his original questions the best setup to run in a maxx truck is to go with aluminum bulkheads, aluminum diff. cases (collars too), Lunsford Titanium Hinge Pins, RPM arms and rpm knuckles. You can also add on titanum turnbuckles if you keep snapping those too. When my customers come in and ask if they should do all aluminum after their first break I get them going on the above setup because it is strong in places that you don't want to replace. I would much rather spend a few minutes swapping arms for a few bucks vs. spending 4 times as long tearing in and replacing the bulkheads which can be $$$, plus all RPM products are guaranteed for life so hook them up to "unbreakable" aluminum and your set! So the setup I said above is in my opinion the best option for someone who doesn't have a shelf queen. Keep in mind though to stay away from aluminum arms because you'll regret it the first time you smack something and it breaks everything else it's connected to, so then you get all aluminum and then it only bends.

Hope that helps point you in the right direction.

I don't know about the bulkheads I think a strong bulkhead brace would do just fine. As for the diff cases if you have a stiff bulkhead why bother? I find the stock setup to be quite strong and if I break a part I'll RPM it! I wonder what people do to their trucks if they say the emaxx is not very durable. I've jumped mine 25' off a bike ramp (actually measured and caught on tape) and once I doubled up some bike ramps and got 7-8 feet of air (on tape) and driven it down stairs smashed into trees, jumped it once and it ripped off the wheelie bar but nothing broken in my entire 3/4 ownership

I agree mostly, the bulkheads do help. An RPM bulkhead brace isn't going to do jack if you run into something and hit your arm. The arm will apply the pressure of the wreck to the hing pins, which pulls on the bulkheads. So having a brace won't help there, you'll still either bend the pin or snap the ears off of the bulkhead. But hey if you've had good luck stick with it.

oh yeah didn't think about that if I had a load of money I'd go all out rpm or go for that sweet gorillamaxx suspension set! it weighs a tad more than the stock but it is all aluminum and shiny! lol

RE: i need help with my E-maxx.plz???

I've done the full gorilla maxx'd e-maxx (check out my website) and it was nice but I ended up selling it because it was worthless unless your on a track.
The new suspension setup is nice though. If you have the money go for it.
