silicone fluids

Is there a difference between silicone shock fluid and silicone diff fluid if the weight is the same? If there is a difference, what is it?

Thanks,
Bob

RE: silicone fluids

They are both silicone oils, really no difference.

RE: silicone fluids

Is there a chart or reccomandations for diff fluids as far as weight of fluid for specific results.
I am racing a Vendetta and looking to change fluid weights for track tuning but I cannot find any info on results of fluid changes such as more power front wheels, more push rears etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Also where do you start?,30 wgt,50wgt?
