I'd like some easy pull clips for 1/18 scale. They work for any body clip, but they look so out of place on mini's as the fuel tubing is huge for such a small vehicle.

yeah they would look pretty big on a 1/18. ive just done some for my 1/10 and they look pretty good

cad- just get some small fuel tubing and mini zip ties... but even doing that it'll look sorta big

for a car cleaner use a mixture at a rate of 1:1 of denatured alcohol and water and if you have a metal chassis spray WD-40 on it and wipe off the excess. This coats the chassis in a thin film of oil and will prevent dirt buildup helping to speed up clean up time. The chassis won't feel very oily but rather how it feels when new from the box.

Also if you keep bending body clips due to flips just use some 22 or 24 awg wire and twist the ends together.

To thread the antenna through the tube faster and easier just wet your fingers and run them the length of the atenna and thread away!

On maxx trucks with plastic shock towers, if they break just zip tie the top part and bottom part together very tightly to keep driving, also you might just want to do this even if your tower isn't yet broken as it reinforces the tower, also good for when you're racing a maxx truck (yeah right :D)

I have easy pull's on my t maxx, not giving away the sectre tho...actually it's easy, i have a clip that has a circle in the middle, so when you pop it on, the circle pops over the post, but the clip still runs through the center of the body post, you just pull up and out on the zip tie...it's fantastic...that's the best explanation i can give you tho...ive been drinking

I made my own custom body clips from paperclips when I had my RC18T. They worked awesome. One clip for the front, and one for the back. One clip inserted into to posts at a time, and was bent in such a way that you just push it in and then push DOWN, and it "snapped" tight. They worked ten times better than other manufactured clips and they NEVER came off no matter how hard I crashed.

You take a paper clip (you can get them at CVS), and bend it into a "U". Cut length as needed. Bend it so you can enter both body posts at once. Inssert them into the body posts and push it in half way, so there is an even amount of metal on each side. Now take the "U" part and bend it UP about 45-50 degrees. Now push IN and DOWN.

To take it off all you have to do is simply pull it out the same way you put it in. If you do it just right the clip will have the "snapping" effect you're looking for to get a nice tight fit. I hope I explained it well, because purchasing body clips has to be the biggest waste of money I've ever seen. It costs than 1 CENT to make the clips I just described, and they're very durable.

^ Hmm, could you post a pic or two? I'd like to try it, but I'm a bit confused. Sounds like a great idea though.

I'll make one soon and post a pic of it. I traded up my RC18T so I don't have anything to do this with, but I should be able to bend it the way I did before just to give you an idea. This will only work with posts that have holes facing forward btw. If the holes face to the side it won't work.

i did the same thing, just bent paper clips and made it work
just grab like 10 paperclips and keep trying and trying
that's what i did and it turned out great, but then i started jumping my car and the paperclips bent, so i stopped using them b/c i couldn't get them on/off

Speaking of body clips, and tips, I keep a magnet attached to the side of my tool box with double sided tape to put the clips when I take them off the trucks. It's also great for magnetizing your tools to make working on RC stuff SO much easier.
