RCU Forums - R/C update!

ran my savage again yesterday and it was tons of fun! I think it went sort of out of tune cause it made a weird throaty noise when I applied throttle. I didn't really bother to tune it but next time I run it I will tune it better. I also need to cut a hole in the windsheild because I have to run somewhat rich right now to keep the temps down. The highest temp I got was 286 F so I think I'm fine for now. My rechargable receiver pack is giving me some problems as the servos are very sluggish and it trips the failsafe. The failsafe also trips on fresh alkalines so I have to look into that since right now I run without the failsafe. Braking absolutely sucks so I think I'll buy a new steering servo and use the stock steering servo for the throttle and brakes and maybe get the dual disk brakes. Towards the end of the tank I took the truck off a bike ramp and although I didn't see specifically where it landed my neighbor said it was right next to this tree. I knew it was far so I got my measuring tape and it was 30'!!!! This broke my previous record of 25' caught on tape with a tape next to it set by my emaxx. Now my emaxx has some s-600 motors installed so it will give the savage a run for its money cept the shock ends are broken along with the rear shock tower and both skids! lol My brushless motor has shipped for my TA05 and I'm ordering some IB 4200mah batteries tonight along with the parts for my emaxx. I'm also making a ramp for my trucks. I'm getting the blazer soon cause I've been working to save up enough to get it and I might also get a Duratrax ICE charger too along with ofna great power power supply. Anyway that's my little R/C update! lol I know basically pointless thread but I just felt like sharing cause I'm excited!
