Tamiya TT-01

I'm going to buy a Tamiya TT-01 and I would like to know if the car is a good starting car for racing.
Also what hop-ups should I get to increase performance of the car once I buy it.

RE: Tamiya TT-01

It's a great beginner racer. What hop-ups you get will depend on which class you plan on racing in.

540 is the motor size, are you running stock (27t), modified, tamiya stock (you use the stock tamiya motor).

How much should these hop-ups cost

TT-01 parts are relatively inexpensive. No big shockers in the aftermarket dept. either. There's alot of aluminum stuff available. Check out hobbyetc.com.
