NT-16 Quickie!!
Hey, as Im sure you know im fixing up a 4 year old car with a 4 year old Cen NT-16 engine. Im pretty sure all the needles are completely setup wrongly so I want to re-adjust them completely. Any ideas of what settings I should set it to (i.e - number of turns, and whether thats turning clockwise or counter-clockwise)
Alternatively, is it an idea to start the engine as it is, and see what happense? Thanks |

theres your settings. If it its 4 yrs old, I would rip it apart and clean it out really well before I start it |
RE: NT-16 Quickie!!
took the back plate off, looked inside, and it looked perfect... I still cleaned it a little with some cotton wool, and sprayed some WD-40 (3 in) oil in there and moved the piston..
Im a little confused whart it means by: Top end: 3 – 3 ½ turns out Bottom end: Flush – 1 turn in from flush For the top end does that mean tighten the screw all the way clockwise, then turn it counter-clockwise 3-3.5 turns, or vice versa. Also, for the bottom end, what should it be flush with, and when it is, is it one turn clockwise or counter-clockwise from flush. Thanks |
RE: NT-16 Quickie!!
HSN - Tighten fully (clockwise) and then back out 3-3 1/2 turns.
LSN - Get the needle flush & then 1 turn in (clockwise). All needles are threaded regularly, so clockwise tightens them (in) and anti-clockwise loosens them (outwards). |
RE: NT-16 Quickie!!
For the LSN, you say get the needle flush. What should I get it flush with?

RE: NT-16 Quickie!!
Flush with the needle housing
