Well of course it's not going to take a beating like a MT. But my answer is Yes and NO. It all depends on what you want to do with the truck. There is no best rtr truck as each person has what they like and dislike. I dont know whay people post these type's of threads because it doesnt make a difference. It just doesnt matter as-----one mans trash is another man's treasure. So im not even going to vote as 2 days from now there's more then likely going to be another thread just like this saying the same thing.

I personally prefer 4WD Monster trucks. I have a Jato, Revo, T-Maxx and LST2 and the Jato just can't "hang" with the big boys off road. It really depends on what you want out of your truck.

It's hard to say that a Jato is an offroad unit compared to MTs...
A Jato is kind of for "light" offroading whereas a big MT can take some seriously heavy offroading.

we are not comparing it to MTs! lets compare it to cars of the same type- 1 10th scale stadium trucks. Compared to those, I think the jato is the best.

I have a Jato 3.3 and a couple Revos. I'll take a Revo over a Jato any day. So my answer is no it's not the best RTR nitro.

jato is faster than revo,,, lighter than revo ,,, put some king pin tires on a the back--- then put some buggie fronts and the jato is a stunt truck---that is what he's lookin 4 a fast jumper that doesnt break---revo is cool though --i think its the best monster truck--
but i wouldnt buy one becouse i got a TWIN TITAN and it would run a revo over literally and look cooler at the same time---
oh and sound cooler 2. a revo got stuck, at a race in my rear bumper i just kept going all the way around the track(withlittlepowerloss) till a track marshal yank him off--- the revo was not damaged at all though--beleive me when you break that jato in and send it off on a wheelie for the first time --you'll be happy like a fat kid on a scooter!

COMPARED TO 1/10 ST A JATO 3.3 IS JUNK. ITS MADE VERY WELL DONT GET ME WRONG, BUT WHAT GOOD IS A 3.3 ON THE TRACK WHEN YOU CANT KEEP THE FRONT WHEELS ON THE GROUND. I HAVE GOT A 2.5 AND I CAN SMOKE ALL THE 3.3S AT OUR TRACK (PAVEMENT). THEY ONLY KEEP UP A LITTLE IN THE STRAIGHT.

my old 21xtr3e(ha i learnt to drive with r's on the, it was hard) was pretty damn fas. i would love to see a jato drag race one of those and see what the outcome is. i was contantly twisting drive shafts on that thing on 10%. when i bumped to 20%, well the model shop made a mint out of me:D. what's the jato like strength wise. i heard the metal part of the chasis only makes up about 3/4 of it(same with the 21xtr).

No. it's fast with a crappy engine and worse electronics. The best stuff equipped with an rtr would be an LST2.. $200 radio.. or the Mayhem Buggy from CEN

you are right about the elec---but for rtr there good ----2.5 is awesome your crazy---for an rtr yhe 2.5--or3.3 are awesome--
