Ok, hold on im gonna look for a pic of an engine to show you what the carb is and so you might be able to show me what is loose on yours.

Ok, I got a great pic from the manual. It has all the part numbers listed, so you should be able to tell me which part is loose by looking at the pic here:

Let's see if this one is any clearer (it is a different picture file format):

i think its 1678 or 1682

Ok, 1682 is all of the washers in the carb, so it can't be that, and 1678 is your complete needle valve. It is possible that your needle valve is loose because it is held on by that nut which is part 1680. So, if that is it, you might want to tighten that on your carb. What you can do is look at the pic I posted, then look at your engine and look for that specific nut, then tighten it. If that is what is loose, it should fix your problem.
If it doesn't, then something else is loose. Examine your whole carb and look more closely to see what is loose.

Hope it works out for ya',
Kevin

okay i just need to spin the thing at the bottom on the needle. but now the fuel hose is touching the heat sink...i'm pretty sure i know it will melt but i want to make sure...will it?

the thing that the fuel hose connects to is facing the heat sink.

Really? That's wierd. It shouldn't melt the hose, but try to somehow get it so it isn't facing the heatsink.

i cant get it to not face the heat sink...if i do then its lose...maybe it wont melt i'm not sure....i haven't had a chance to run it yet...my C battery went dead and i have to wait till my friends dad to get home until we get a new one...damnit where is he...

Okay I've stopped...should l loosen it back up so it faces away from the heat sink?

There are 3 needles on a Car engine there should be one right beside the Air filter its called the high speed Dont turn the whole caburator. Just screw the high speed needle (Screw) out about 1 turn.

The Car isnt looseing compression its getting hot after running it and it just feels like it doesnt have any compression its really just becasue its hot from running. Make sure u see Smoke coming out the exaust.

so if i pull and the piston comes up and pushes the sleeve up then goes back down with little effort then it is time for a new piston and sleeve? Oh will the tuned pipe from the FE fit my SS engine?
