engine stop ?

Im sort of a noob to on-road cars and was thinking about the HPI RS4 18SS but when I was reading the manual online I noticed unlike the nitro boat i have you have brakes which you apply backwards throttle to use. With the boats you do that to stop the engine, but it doesnt say how to in the manual which is my question. how do you stop the engine? or am i wrong about the breaks? or is it just a matter of how long you hold them down or how far the servo goes?

i usually pinch the fuel line, or you can cover the exhaust stinger, or you can touch the flywheel and stop it

I always just touch the flywheel with my thumb,only do this at idle though.

i used to cover the exhaust but i got me a line pinch and just use that to shut it off
