problem with car
 

Hi everyone

ive just recieved the last few parts to get my elec rc going its a pro 3 with nosram magnum reverse, 21x2 motor geared 21/83 for acceleration using sanyo 3000nimhs

i charged them all up last night @ 2a on my peak charger which is a nosram sirius, bearing in mind this is the first time ive used the cells and the car i bought them second hand, ive just gone to use it this morning and it seems dead with hardly any punch at all. my car made about 5mph [:-]

it also seems as though the car has 2 gears because from standing at full throttle it accelerates then after about a second decides to speed up some more, could this possibly be interferance or do you think my batts are shot.

sorry for the noob questions i havent touched an elec rc since i was 12 using nikkos :D if its going to be like this ill carry on with my nitros just i wanted something a bit cleaner

:eek: not really the wrong forum, but you would have more luck in the electric section.

The first time you charge new cells are you not supposed to slow charge them? Is everyting else set correctly (wiring, tx settings etc)? Binding in the transmission?

im thinking its my battery i have a nosram 3700 and charged that up too and it packs loads of punch compared to the 3000, ill have a go at runing the 3000 flat and then doing a fast charge @ 5a, i never knew that about new cells to charge them fast thanks for the info there, oh and my drivetrain is smooth as a nut and all wires are spot on so thats no prob
