jumping problems
 

i just bought a duratrax evader st and am having some jumping problems. this is my first car and im hooked. im building a track in my backyard and am having some problems with nose diving. it helps if i let off the throttle and then hit it just before the jump, but i know there have got to be some setup tips that would help this. any help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks in advance.

what kind of rear tires are you running?? i know when my gt had bald back tires or when i wasnt getting good traction it would get to the top of the jump and spin when i would open it up which in return wouldnt give me a good push and would cause the front end to drop. dont know if this well help or not just thought i would give my thought.

my tires are fairly new. i did some more searching and found someone who cut the foam for the battery pack to move it further back. i tried it and it worked great!!!

There are a lot of things that can make it nose dive. Weight transfer is the about biggest and It sounds like you fixed that, also is your clutch grabbing right? Next time you have the bell of use some like 220 sandpaper to scuff it and it will grab better but only sand it once per pair of shoes. Speed is a big factor, hit the jump too fast and the inertia will carry the rear end over the front. The biggest factor is practice, learning the right speed and throttle coming to the jump and not letting off of the throttle will be the best thing for you, keep the throttle steady coming off the jump so you dont cann the landing. Shock settings can also effect air manners but that is another subject. Practice, Practice!!
