How to clean...

I have one of my engines that has been sitting in the basement for about 2-4 mounths, gas has built up along with grime. What would be ok to use so that i can clean it?

Nitro cleaner is best, or a mix of dentured alcohol, dish soap and Simple green will work too.

Antifreeze and a crock pot cleans all engine parts extremely well.
