Nitro Buggy or Nitro ST?

I was wondering what you guys thought of buggies vs STs in terms of nitro? Basically what it comes down to, is I'm contemplating between HPI's Firestorm or Ofna's LX Comp. I know the Firestorm is 1/10th and the LX is 1/8th so its kinda like comparing apples and oranges. But which one provides better off-road capabilities, handling, and durability? And how would the speed between the two compare? I know the Firestorm has a .18 engine and the LX has a .27 engine.

Ofna will go faster but firestorm will handle and take offroad better,if you plan o race get the ofna,if you just wanna play around and mabey race latero n get the firestorm just my opinion.

I have cars in both scales. I think either would be great off road. Maybe it's a matter of what you can afford. IN GENERAL, 1/10 is cheaper to run than 1/8.

I have an OFNA LX, and I strongly reccomend it. In my mind it's durable, fast, race worthy and probably the best buggie for the buck! However I also own 2 HPI vehicles and Know they are super tough and are really meant to bash around. If your a begginer I'ld reccomend the Firestorm because it' very tough and probably a better starter vehicle. Good Luck!

I agree with -EXTRA-... I do think, that the Ofna would handle a lot better though.

Ofna IMO is a good company and they get there parts by jay Jammin ( designed and tested of course not made by him)

Well out of the two, which would be better for sand, off-road, and snow? I probably wont be racing but just bashing. So which would suit all three conditions best? I'm going with the ST so far, but what do you guys think?

Well if you are running in sand and snow I would get an ST.

I sold my st after i got my buggy. I find it is a better basher and has better control and more torque.

I have decided to go with the ST. My lhs has lots of support for HPI products and I dont think I've ever seen anything for Ofna. Plus the ST seems like it would have better ground clearance for the sand at the beach. Thanks for the suggestions!
