ON-ROAD OR OFF ROAD ENGINE WHATS THE DIFF?

I was wondering what the difference is between on and off road engines if there is any?

yes they have a higher top end power but the off road engines have a great bottom end punch (torque)

Some of the on-road engine are turbo engine's they use a different type of glow plug and use a different type of head button. The turbo's tend to have more Hp on the top end but lack a little to the off-road engine's in torque. Some guys use on-road engine's for off-road use and some use off-road engine's on-road. There is no law saying you cant do this so a lot of guys do. But yes usually on-road engine's like to rev a little higher then the off-road engine's do.

On-road versions also tend to have smaller cooling heads to reduce wind resistance.

Here's an example of the .21 RB Concept C6 engine for buggy and on-road

And there is that engine that you run in every thing.. Take the Traxxses 3.3 and 2.5 for example..

there's a a lot more difference betrween teh C6BB and the track version. Completely different porting. The track version have more aggressive exhaust times making more power on the top. Just look at the pictures on the RB website.
