That is a great little engine and no need to upgrade or change until you've worn it out. [8D]

But you cant find parts for it anymore. It is a great engine. Its the same engine i got with my rs4 3 and MAN THAT THING SCREAMS!!!!!! Even tho its a .12 engine, it wouldnt hurt to change that gearing a bit so u can get more top speed ( Red clutch gears )

To bad i sold everything for my rs4 like a week ago.

The engine is made by nova "rossi" and it can take alot of abuse. just make sure you break it in correctly. i would let it burn the first tank before u start to give it some throttle for the break in process.

And if u need any advse on that engine just pm me for info. Now that i think about it. i musta had 5-6 gallons before the engine broke (i broke it by accident)[&o]

Nope. all traxxas engines use SG shafts and hpi rs4 engines use standard shafts

Hey southturn - If you're thinking of upgrading you might consider the O.S. .18 cv-r. Do a bit of searching on here and you will find a ton of posts for this question. Type "what engine for my RS4" in the search tab and you'll find a ton of threads with different options. The O.S. CV-R is a great upgrade as per many of the members on RCU so you cant go wrong there. Good luck with your search.
