My buddy is looking for a cheap Nitro, hes limited on cash so he doesn't have much to spend. He's been looking at these two on ebay

What do you guys think any good, if so which one would be better. Also if neither of these are good any idea on a good cheap truck.

I would never buy a used nitro engine of E-bay, especially not a used beginners nitro.

Yeah thats what I told him ! There a guy at our LHS that has a used Savage 25 that he bought off a guy, he said its a little beat up but the guy at the LHS put a 4.6 on it. He said towards the end of the month he's gonna be selling it, he said he would sell it to him for $200.00. I told him to get that, atleast he know the engines history. But I guess he either doesn't want it or he doesn't want to wait that extra week or two.

I completely agree. If he was experienced I don't think it would be that big of a deal, but buying a used nitro off ebay for a beginner is a big no no. It's almost guaranteed that the thing will be beaten on, hard to start, in need of a new piston/cylinder or worse. I wouldn't even buy a used nitro off of RCU unless it was a well known member.
