Rs4 Nitro Won't Start
 

Hello all,

I bought a RS4 Nitro for my son as a Christmas gift. We have tried to start it sveral times with no luck. I prime the engine, attach the glow plug battery but...nothing. It feels like it wants to start, and will sometimes turn over for a second but will not start. Any ideas what we are donig wrong?? Thanks for the help!!

Has it ever run? I mean, if I got one for x-mass, it would have been running ASAP!

Was it already built?

Where did you get it? A local hobby shop should check it out for free if you bought it there.

DId you try a new glow plug battery, or one with a fresh charge.

A new glow plug?

Does fuel pour out of the carb when you hold the car upside down? (This one is really important)

Don't prime it too much! After fuel has reached the carb, you are done priming it!

Get Help
 

Find a local track, either on or off road will do. And ask around for a little help. Someone will usually be willing.

It is worth it, even if you have to drive a ways to get there.

I have an Axis with a Torq .21 engine that is tricky to start. Floods easily, but with care starts pretty good, even on cold days.

Hell gents,

Thanks for the responses. My son & I went to the hobby shop where I purchased it and they were able to help us. It seems it need a slight carb adjustment.
