Did I buy the wrong pinion

I bought a Pinion that was advertised to go on an RC18T
I have a Stampede with a 540 motor will it fit?

Nope. Too small. RC18 is a 1/18th scale, which uses a 380 sized motor. The 540 has a 1/8th shaft, which is bigger than the 380's.

If that's a stock motor, then you're probably out of luck. The motor that I have in my mini has a 1/8 shaft, so pinions are interchangeable.

the Motor is a Method R which
