Why does a new ESC loose voltag???
 
I just bought a new ESC about a week ago and the motor stopped spinning so i put a voltage meter on the esc and its not getting nearly enough voltage to the motor? does anyone know what would cause this problem?

Did you test the voltage going into the esc ?

Yes the battery has full voltage

What was the actual battery voltage and voltage at the motor ? What plugs are you using ?

The output should equal the input voltage at WOT, possibly a radio or esc set-up problem? Is there a light that is lit when WOT? lots of them do have a certain led for neutral, WOT, and revers and even partial throttle.

Yes the light changes color when i throttle but very low power to the motor. I tried another ESC with the same motor and connectors and it worked fine.

Also as I already asked , what voltage do you have at the battery and at the motor at wot ?

I cant remember exactly what the voltage said but it was very different. The battery had just about full voltage and the esc was struggling to get a little bit of voltage at WOT

Define a little bit. To me a little bit of voltage is anything under 12v.

You pretty much answered your own question right there.
If you're sure the esc is set up right and everything works fine with a different esc then you've gotten a bad esc. It happens. Call or take it back to where you got it.

I agree, it is either "the esc" or it is not set up to the radio.
