RE: need some help

I have a Nitro Buggy and the steering is playing up. When i turn and then straighten back up it keeps staying in the same position (If i turn left it stays left so i gotta straighten it back)
and i dunno what is doing it Is it the servo or the servo saver???

RE: need some help

disconnect the linkage to your steering servo and test it without any load, if it does it than you have your answer.

If it doesn't do it, put steering linkage back on your servo and while you are turning left and right check to see if the servo is trying to bring the wheels back, something could be binding and preventing it,
But I have a feeling that you need a new servo.

Dan.

WOW RS18, I gotta tell ya, that was the most blatant, non-related thread hijacking I've seen in a LONG time!!!!
If you have a question like that you should start your own thread. You'll get better responses and not be as rude.

Chuck
Are you looking for the "best" nitro or "best" electric or are you asking which we think is "best" nitro or electric? Personally, I like both nitro and electric but you will see lots of people with strong opinions for one or the other.
As for which is the best truck of either power source, well, that's gonna depend on your budget. If you don't have a lot of cash to drop right now then that will certainly limit what "best" you can get. So, I guess, before giving you specific examples we need to know how much you are looking to spend. Also, what kind of truck are you looking for? Monster, Stadium, Truggy, or do you even have a preference?

In my opinion you should probably get a nitro truck simply because you already have some nitro experience and the support equipment for it. If you go electric then you will have the cost of the truck plus the batteries, the chargers and misc stuff that can easily add another $100 - $200 to your total cost.

Buying used you have to be very careful. There are too many inexperienced people who buy a truck and break parts and ruin engines then get bored and sell it. It still looks pretty much new but needs lots of stuff to make it right. I never buy used unless the price is low enough to replace the motor ant the truck still be a deal. A good rule of thumb is to NEVER pay more than 1/2 of the new price of the vehicle. My personal goal when buying used is between 1/3 and 1/2 of the new price.
Good luck nd let us know how it goes.

You just got the truck, its your first, and you haven't tried the VXL. How can post about it in a thread that asks which is the best electric?

well the thread said need some help and i needed help so what do you mean about hijacking a thread?
Hijacking a thread is entering someone else's thread in which they've asked a question and asking your own totally unrelated question, without even first offering some assistance to the original poster. Dave is right, avoid doing it, you can always start your own thread.

To the OP, gamesbeer's got you covered in the first reply to this topic. If you want a nitro, that truck he linked is the single best bargain in RC right now. Chuck, if you don't have around 300 bucks to spend, forget nitro. I never recommend buying second hand, ESPECIALLY second hand nitro. You're just buying someone else's problems. Sure, you can get lucky sometimes, but that's the exception.
