First time to DYE Wheels..

1 Attachment(s)
i have this chrome proline beadlock wheels that started to looks crappy so i end up dyeing it, it took me bout 2 hrs to complete and preparation,,, removing the chrome by submerging it in a liquid plummer gel, each wheel took 10 min. to clear out, then bout 30 mins to dye....here's before and after pics.....not really perfect result there's still some spot here and there but i'm very much contented...the color should be navy blue but i think i made it very concentrated and it turns out like black..

liquid plumber gel removes chrome? who comes up with this stuff? great job man!! thanks for the tip on the Liquid plumber this should help alot of people here asking about dyeing chromed items. I wonder if you wouldve just dyed over the chrome would it have came out like anodizing? are there any pieces of chrome left on the wheels that accepted the dye? if so whats it look like? thanks

looks nice. I also had my colors work out the way I wanted on my first time dyeing, I tried for blue rims but they came out purple :(

thanks guys

,,,,chrome should be cleared before dyeing or else dye will not absorb,,,that's how i got some spots coz i'm kinda lazy:D to clear them all,,,,btw, if the wheels doesn't have alot of scratches the dye finish looks like anodize/ glossy...
