beginner's question!!! help

hi....
I just got my mugen starter box and it requires 7.2v stick battery. what kind of charger should I use? DC charger of AC charger? what's the difference between those two?

I just bought NOVAK IONIC DC charger (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZS17&P=7).

is it gonna charge the 7.2v stick battery or my 6v receiver battery?

or do i need to get AC charger to charge those battery?

thanks in advance!!!!!

Charger

Yes this charger will charge both of your batteries.

DC is direct current, meaning that you cannot plug it into the oulet in your house. House current is alternating current.

A DC charger will run off a car battery or off a Power supply which converts AC to DC. If you get a power supply you would be able to charge in your house.

oh... i cannot use that charger at home!!! that's not good. is there any good AC charger at reasonable price range that could be used to charge both my 6.0v receiver pack and 7.2v stick battery? could you please recommend me anything? I was looking at novak ac/dc charger, and it was over $100. is there any cheaper one?

beginner's question!!! help

I bought a duratrax mini pulse charger from a guy off this froum. it is DC and AC, it is sweet but I dont have much of a use for it now so I may sell it.. give me some more time too think about it and ill shoot you a pm if i decide to sell it to ya. I still have the original box and I may have the manual for it aswell. It has adjustible charge rate and peak detection plus discharge and cycle. It is really small too!! It wont do two batts at a time but it will charge 1 1500 mah nicd in about 15 minutes so it would take about 30 minutes to charge two batt packs.

I have been using older computer power supplies for several years now as a power source for my DC charger. Let me know if you need help with this, I can help you out.

Superbrain is a good cheap charger.

I am not a fan of the duratrax piranha stuff, the higher end stuff is fine but not cheap.
