Servo "jammed" and died :(
HEy guys.
Well I was setting the fail save on my R1 radio.. and then I tuned off my TX. Thinking that it had lost contact.. the fail safe activated (in the RX) and it applied full brakes (I programmed it to do so). But unfortunately I think the steering servo was working too hard or whatever and now it wont respond. Funny.. if the servo was working so hard, shouldnt the batteries be dead? theyre not. The throttle servo I have is pretty cheap.. but I'm still pissed that it just died. Its an FMA Coreless servo. The gears arent broken, but when I try to turn it by hand, its pretty hard. TOO hard. Something is definitely wrong. I'm thinking about the Hitec 5925 (I have the 5945 for steering). Any other suggestions? I'm looking for Digital Coreless and looking to spend less than or about $100. ram |

Question.
Can I use an Airtronics 94757 Servo with my R330 RX? I dont quite understand the different J and Z connectors. ram |

Hitec's new 5975 digital core-less would be an excellent choice. Resin gear train, this gear set will last longer than there metal cousins while not exhibiting appreciable slop and prove to remain tighter over time.

I was also looking at JR DS8417 and Airtronics 758. Now I gotta check out where they are available. Btw.. whats with the resin geear? ITs same price for less speed and power?! sounds wierd! ram |
Servo "jammed" and died :(
My LHS sales them for less bucks, I think they were $80.00, $5.00 less than they sale 5925 and 5945's for. Try Chief Aircraft, I'll bet they'll be less than $70.00...
