Dumbn Question
I'm starting to get into the brushless motors in my trucks and boats, now my question is I'm in the market for a new solder iron. How many watts do I need to solder dean's connectors?

RE: Dumbn Question
i bought a cheap cheap one for i think 12 bucks.. it is a 25 watt,,,120volt 60hz.. but wattage is where the heat comes from i think... anyway,, it does do the job on the deans connectors well.. but if i were to do it again i would have gone a bit higher on the wattage..
so a 25w will do it but i reccomend a 50w if thats how they make them. jake p.s. now that i think about it the reason i bought the 25watt one is,,well for one i did not know and then the real reason is that it is small for getting into them tight spots.. but i did seen them a little bigger with more wattage. |
RE: Dumbn Question
i use a 30wt, perfect for the job.
