Does the engine say anything on it. It looks old for sure.

Wow. I'd like to know what this is also. That steering servo upside down must be a PITA if you ever have to adjust your steering or put a new horn on. Good luck finding out!

It's an early Kyosho 2wd onroad. Looks to be in good shape, too, have you tried to drive it yet?

Also, that upsidedown servo isn't any hard to work on than upright or laydown ones. There's a hole in the chassis for your screwdriver, you just unscrew it and then pop the horn out, then it comes out on the linkage. My CEN MT2 has a similar setup.

i can't say for certain but that looks like an old os engine- probably around a .10 ci
i know kyosho put a lot of os engines in their stuff back in the mid '80's
but if it has no markings it may not be os as, even then, os put their name on their engines

Yes, that's a Kyosho Mantis 2WD. There was also a FWD variation. These are circa early 90's to about 97 or 98.

The engine, an O.S. .10, judging by the carb. and recoil. Aftermarket head on it.

its NOT a Mantis for sure. The mantis did not have an aluminum flat pan chassis. The chassis was very narrow on the front and the tank was in the middle facing side to side not front to back. It looks to be more like a Super ten sports but still not the same.

Good call. I am indeed way off! I was too quick to asume on this one. I did a reference on the Superten, Spider, and Pureten series, and did some comparison. We might not even be looking at a Kyosho.
