Drill Start....
I've heard people saying that its easy enough to make a drill start using a socket on the end of the one way bearing. However what is stopping the one way just falling out the back of the engine once you take the dril off?
I think this is the way forward because i've snapped my pull start cord for the millionth time this weekend and i'm fed up. |
what?
Not sure what you are asking but leave the bearing in the socket, not on tha shaft.

Drill Start....
If your engine mounts so that the backplate faces out (I'm assuming) then you can use a drill. As dbow says leave the bearing in the socket, not on the engine. You might be interesed in a yank eliminator. They have a bearing inside that stays on the yank elimintor with no possibilites of it getting stuck on the engine. Here's the tower hobbies link.
