Need some Lipo advice

I want to run a Lipo battery in my clodbuster. I'm running a Novak Super Duty XR with two 12t double motors. I know I need the Novak Smart Stop Lipo cut off module. But what I don't know is what would be the best battery. I do a lot of racing so speed would be better. I 'm thinking Of a 4s lipo but I don't know what C or mAh would be best. Any advice would be great thanks.

I would think the max amps 3c lipo would do fine with 8000mah for the longest of runs. You will still have the volts to move that beast and get some extra drive time. back in the olden days lol we used 2 1500mah stick packs and had fun for about 4 miniutes lol.

Anything above 2 cell will kill your motors...

If you could please explain why anything above 2 cell will kill my motors.

mah is what determines your runtime length. the higher the longer. the reason the 2s+ will kill your motors is because you will be running them at a much higher voltage than what the motor and possibly the speed contol can handle. simply put you will zap them with too much power.

RE: Need some Lipo advice

The Super Duty XR is rated for up to 4s lipo so no problem there. I don't know what kind of motors you're running but twin Traxxas 12t Titans can handle 4s with no problem so you'll probably be ok.
