Pullstart Woes

After tuning my car for a bit I notice one of the pullstart screws has fallen out and one seems to be loose but I can not tighten as the screw is kinda stripped.

It looks like load of oil is leaking from the pullstart and I assume it's because the pullstart is not sealed as the scres have come loose.

Should I worry about this or just leave it until it falls off and have a excuse for a new pullstart as the cord is starting to get frayed.

I dont remember what car you have but you shouldnt have oil in your pullstart, if its a .21 or .28 and a rear exhaust you may have an exhaust gasket leak, if its a .16 or .18 and a side exhaust, your backplate may be loose or leaking, check the screws. I would replace that missing screw before you loose the pullstart, your lhs should have one for you.

RE: Pullstart Woes

So the backplate is bolted to the rear of the engine and the pullstart is ontop of it?

So I will have to remove the pullstart to access the backplate?

It is a Himto Viper.

If that is the case I will need to take out the whole engine or remove the whole rear of the car to get to the screws... damn.
