You don't spray on carbon fiber. I think what you're thinking of is a wet layup.

It is possible to use spray paint to immatate CF. I've done it for a couple of things. You use a silver paint and a dark gray or black paint and the waffle looking non slip shelf liner. Spray on a base coat of silver, let it dry, lay the waffle liner over the area and spray the black on. If you use an air brush you can mix your own colors a bit to get the look you want. With a little practice it can look pretty good.

yea, if you are looking for the effect, some people also do silver first and then black. looks better the other way tho IMO

When I spray a carbon effect, I lay down transparent black first, then whatever color I wan to tuse, then back it in black. The transparent black first coat adds some sheen and depth, to make it look more real.

I dont know why you want to spray CF on, the CF nanaotubes would not be uniformly aligned, and thus thet cannot exhibit their superior tensile porperties.

Speaking of CF, I will be thoroghly impressed when long continuous CF nanotube threads can be made and woven in a nano-loom to creat CF fabrics, and then laid out and laqured to make superior CR RC parts.

Imagine a spray can that sprays out continuous CF nanotubes out of a can! Talk about silly string!
