Nascada wheel alignment
Hello,
I got a Nascada Lambo recently and I noticed that when the front left wheel is pointing straight ahead, the front right wheel is toed out by a few degrees. I'm not sure which of the various linkages I need to adjust to straighten up the offending wheel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, David |

Hi,
Its the linkage that connects to the steering knuckle. the lower of the 2, lower rear of the tire. You will see a flat spot in the thread, your turn that linkage. |

Thanks for the info. Are they locked into place from the factory? I tried turning the linkage with a small spanner but I'm afraid of forcing it. Cheers, David |

no, it may just be a little tight, give it a good twist, worse that can happen is the linkage will pop off, you just pop it back on.

A little bit more force did it! :-)
One more thing (I'm a noob to this)...is the car supposed to twitch all of the time it's switched on? The electrics inside the car are constantly clicking and chattering and sometimes the throttle engages for a moment. I have played with the trim control but have not been able to stop it completely. Is this normal? Thanks, David |

no but you may have some interference, see if it does it with the radio off(transmitter)
Also, make sure all plugs are in tightly on the reciever and check the crystals to make sure they are tight too. |

If all else Fails....You might want to check that all the wires are firmly soldered to the servo and the esc....... (Keep in mind that you will VOID the warranty if you open up the ESC, so don't DO that unless your Warranty has Expired!) I have a Nascada,,,,,and I dont have any of the Problems that you Described......So I think you have SOMETHING going on....... |

Hello again!
Jitter problem... With the transmitter off, the jitters stop completely. I took the crystal out of the transmitter, splayed the legs ever so slightly and reinserted it. It was a very good fit after that. Things look tight inside the car...not sure what to look for though??? Back to the first question... I noticed that the steering trim control has to be fully clockwise for the wheels to be straight. Is that the norm? Thanks, David |

It's pretty much brand new, only have it about a month or so. I'll hold off opening up anything and voiding my warranty!

Is that the norm? Thanks, David You need to center the trim control, take the servo horn off the steering servo, center the wheels the best you can and put the screw back in the horn. This will basically get you setup pretty straight, you may need to adjust a little with the trim to get it 100%. Sounds like a problem with the transmitter but it can be the receiver still. may be glitching when getting a signal. be sure there is no metal touching or exposed on the antenna on the car. |

That helped! It also cut down on the servo chatter quite a bit. It's not completely quiet now but it is much improved.
The car seems to snake/crab to the left while it's driving. Could be because I'm driving on carpet at the moment. Do you know of a good online resource for learning about setting up cars like mine? I'd like to know what the various bits do and how to make adjustments. Thanks for your help so far! :-) |

We are the best source, lol.
Sounds like the servo was binding and creating the chatter. If its pulling to the left then you have to turn the trim knob to the right. Its the one that says st trim |

Wellllllll...seeing as you're the best source...could you explain (briefly will be fine) what the linkage adjustments do.
There's two upper ones at the front. Two lower ones at the front (are these purely for adjusting the left/right direction of the wheel?) Two upper ones at the back. Are there any other common tweaks that would be good to know about? Thanks. |

Thanks. the 2 upper ones contol the caster and camber ex: / \ and \ / when looking at the front of the car the 2 lower ones control the toe in and toe out (left and right of the wheeld) The 2 upper ones in the back do the same thing as the two upper ones in teh front, caster and camber. |
