Engine cleaning
 
Hey all, I stripped down my tmaxx engine and dont have any engine cleaner started thinkin bout other options what do you guys use to clean the gunk from your nitro engines.

I have some straight methanol that I used on mine. Denatured alcohol also works good, just make shure the stuff you use DOES NOT contain water which can rust the daylights out of your stuff.... just bad [8D]. I cleaned out some engines that came from some cars from a neighbor that were ALL gunked up with old fuel using denatured alcohol and they cleaned out real good (same couldn't be said for the engines :()

i use either diesel fuel or Nitro fuel. If you use nitro fuel you need to wipe it all down with some ARO though, really soon afterwards

I used nitro fuel, a good degreasor, and carburator cleaner or a good lubricant
