HEy,
My 2.5 Engine in my Maxx Sucks. I hate it.. its hard to tune.. and when i think i have it tuned.. it dies about 2 minutes into the tank. also.. when i try to start it up after it dies.. it wont start, probably becuase of the heat! anyways my birthday is coming up and i wanna new engine for my T-Maxx. Whats a good Drop in engine for the new t-maxx? thanks again

O.S. engines are great it all depends on what you are looking for. my brother has the older t-maxx and swaped out the .15 trx pro for a HPI SS.15 and the truck flies. he rly only uses it for on road and doesn't rly bash on it but it will still go anywhere.

my 2.5 works great now that I've swore at it spit on it and learned to tune it.

Go back to factory settings and richin up the needles a bit LSN about 1/2 turn and the HSN 1 full turn! then in 1/16 clicks lean out the HSN. I found my fac settings too lean and now I can keep it @ 245 or so and no more stalling

also, once you think you have it tuned richen the gas flow by about 1/8-1/4 urn to keep it from stalling. just for future reference.

I sold my 12R SS engine to a guy with an older t-maxx and he said it screams!!!!I havn't seen it run yet but he told me he's really happy with it.
