Will this work?

Does anyone know if the traxxas velineon be able to handle this rig? It's about 15lbs give or take, but last time I had a novak goat in it and they told me it fried due to stress,so do you think the velineon would fry also do to the weight stress?

With the right gearing, it would be fine, but it might be slow. some body-off pics might help

What is it? You normally go to a bigger size motor the bigger the rc car. Did you try a 550 motor or bigger?

Isn't that the e-maxx mudder that was in the traxxas forum. Have you tried using the EVX-2 and some Kershaw Designs 650 motors? Those should drop right into the stock motor mount.

He's probably thinking VXL because it's... 1. brushless, 2. it's a lower kv rated motor (similar to a 13.5t) and 3. runs pretty cool at a lower cost than others.

The goat was slower and had more torque. If it fried the VXL will definitely fry. Its like replacing a big diesel with a big block. They both have lots of power but a Hemi wont cut it in a Semi.
