DIGGER!!
RJ Speed has rereleased the Digger. I remember reading about these so many years ago and always wanted one. Talk to me.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
Am I the only one who's interested? It's on the RC Driver website.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
I think they're cool, but there just isn't much info about them circulating.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
I'm gonna try to get ahold of one. Sadly gonna have to order from the USA.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
A link might get some responses. Now that I see what you are talking about, I agree, pretty cool. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXLN7
http://www.rjspeed.com/images/images...s/618-1038.jpg the rj speed bodies remind me of bolink bodies a little |
RE: DIGGER!!
RJ speed is owned by one of the original engineers from Bolink. I met him and his wife at the IHobby Expo this year. Nice guy. He said they have plans to bring back a lot of the old Bolink stuff.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
What ever happened to Bolink? They go broke?
|
RE: DIGGER!!
from what I was told the original owner let his son take over the business and he just ran it into the ground. Taking money out of the company, not investing in new projects etc.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
BOLINK is back, we raced a pretty decent 19 t spec class last year with them, there are supposed to be more bodies added later but we'll see

RE: DIGGER!!
bolink is gone bro. its RJ speed now. same products, same part numbers, just a new name. its good quality stuff, bought parts for one of my old bolinks back in december. fit and finish was great.
i don't remember the digger being all that popular back in the day, interesting to see it back on the market. wasn't that chassis used in a couple wheelie cars as well? little red wagen comes to mind |
RE: DIGGER!!
I've never seen one go but I remember them in magazines. Cheapest Rc going too, if I remember right.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
I've seen the truck and the bug on the website, were there any other Digger bodies back in the day? I gotta have one of these babies.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
Does anyone have one of there yet? Pictures?
|
RE: DIGGER!!
And Here I though you were talking about the Digger.....the digger from Kill-Devils hills North Carolina :D
http://mysite.verizon.net/w3rjw/Mons...er%2012x18.jpg but to be serous what are those? |
RE: DIGGER!!
Digger is a groovy basic tough car. No suspension, no diff, weighs almost nothing and does wheelies and flips.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
I saw a test in the new Rc driver magazine. I'd love to see one go, does anyone have one?
|
RE: DIGGER!!
im bored, i guess i will bring back a dead thread

RE: DIGGER!!
:DYes this is a old dead thread but THAT WAS CLASSIC!!!:D
|
RE: DIGGER!!
That's crazy! I still want one but not with that kinda power! I figured I'd use a tamiya esc and a silvercan motor. Maybe a team magic green motor because they are cheap here. Gotta get one
|
RE: DIGGER!!
That vid is insane, thanks for posting. My Digger is inbound and i am looking forward to it more than ever now.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
NOTE: that is not my vid. i just got bored and started surfing tower and decided to check out you tube for videos of it. i really want one though. the drive train seems bullet proof.
|
RE: DIGGER!!
Mine arrived:D
Its been very long time since i have seen such a basic car. I love it. Assembly will take no more than 2 hours tops. Its going to be huge fun i can see already. |
RE: DIGGER!!
I set mine up with a cheap 3600kv brushless system and 2s lipo[&:]
Its now back on the bench and going old school. A silver can and 6 cell nimh pack will go in. These things are crazy and dont need much power |
RE: DIGGER!!
Show me! Bug or truck? You go wild on the paint?
|
RE: DIGGER!!
I got the bug, paint is not done yet (it wont be pretty cos i got no skills)
