Would This Work??

Hi Guys,

We have a local 'free' track here that I've been sort of trying to get into better shape.

There are a few videos of it here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9126765/tm.htm

The problem with this track it's very sandy and when it dries up, it can literally just blow away with the wind and it's hard to get the jumps built up right, hence the old carpet that's laid down on top of the jumps.

So here's my question. Would this work as jump supporters? The big triangle would be made out of 3/4 ply and the 3 stakes or feet would be 2x2 or something like that screwed into the ply. I'd dig the sides of the jumps out, pound these supports about 2 feet or so down and then fill / compact the jumps into the support.

I figure this would also help in shaping the jumps so you get a consistent jump face across the entire jump.

As always, thanks for any input.

(sorry for the silly drawing, but I only have paint on my work puter..:D)

Yes, that will help. My local track uses that same method to keep the sides of larger jumps from eroding.
