Is there any way to repair scratched heatsink heads? Would sanding the top and adding high temp spray of the same color as the head work? One of my motor's head looks bad after a road rash.

what motor you got? I believe you can go buy a new one at tower for like 30 bucks!

i would leave it. a scratched head wil cool your engine more.
this will be due to the scratches and indentations giving it a bigger surface area to volume. LOL :D

if you sand aluminum, it never gets smooth unless you have the proper stuff. sand paper dont work.
if you try to paint it with some high temp stuff, it will never match since the aluminum isnt painted it almost like a dye on it.

if you cant afford a new one, and its really only a cosmetic thing id say just drive with it like that. it wont hurt anything.

put some tie wraps on the head next time to help revent this in the future.

If you're worried about the aesthetics of it, just sand it with some very fine grit sandpaper, and polish it with a dremel and a polishing wheel and some compound. :sunsmiley
