Custom made wheels??????
does anyone know anywhere Ican get a set of custom wheels made, perferably not aluminum but could be, I can't find any aftermarket wheels that fit vintage Tamiya Bruser hubs, and for what I'v found good stock ones for I feel that Icould have a custom set made or a custom set of hubs to utilize regular 2.2, 1.9 or 1.5 wheels for that matter, any info would help being as Google came up nill</p> |

Ihad been looking at their site and they have nothing that works with the Vintage axels, they did offer a set of adapters to use T-maxx wheels but are out of stock and don't know when or if they will get more in according to the e-mail one of my friends recived in reply to his inquire about them, but thank you

RE: Custom made wheels??????
the issues with those (which Ihad surched multipul times befor I posted anything) is that the Vintage Bruiser uses 3 screws to hold the wheel to the hub and hot a single nut (which all those do)
here's the 2 rims I have and knotace the 3 screw holes in out from the center, they are how the rims mount to the hubs http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/r...d/IMG0262A.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/r...d/IMG0264A.jpg |
RE: Custom made wheels??????
Maybe you can get some hubs machined up that suit the more popular range of wheels, by a small engineering workshop.

RE: Custom made wheels??????
Id definitely look into getting some sort of hub conversion.. If you pay to have a custom set of wheels made, and something happens, you'll be in the same boat your in now.. If ya come up with a way to convert the hubs to generic 2.2 or whatever, you'll have a vast selection of wheels to choose from! I saw in the back of a RC magazine, there was an ad for custom rc machine work.. The site was http://www.stlcustomhobbies.com/If ya have the money and time, maybe look into that? Best of luck and be sure and take lots of pix if ya start modding it!! Everyone loves a good mod story!! :D
