You need to unscrew your idle screw (anti-clockwise), i think, otherwise you got to make the throttle mechanism shorter?

I would do what VecoRacer said. Unscrew the idle screw. take the airfilter off, and look int the carb. make sure all of your radio gear is on. the gap should be about 1mm.

but i cant even start it on the ground will that really help? and how do i make the throttle thing smaller? would making the brake lever longer help?

If your car wont idle when on the ground and when it is elevated, the wheel spin, to me that is a sign of a burnt clutch.

Can you spin the clutchbell freely? Your steering trim has nothing to do with this issue. Try the throttle trim or what others stated, use the idle screw to adjust and when you apply the brakes, your carburator still has an opening. The carburator opening is controlled by the idle screw, not by the throttle trim.

Yep.. If your wheels spin and you can't start it when it is on the ground you melted the clutch to the clutch bell. This is cause by using the brake to keep the car in one spot when idling. Your car should be able to roll freely when idiling.

I believe you can use a racing clutch from HPI. Can't remember the HPI part number off hand.

You shouldn't need a new bell. But I would get a racing clutch. But before you melt that one make sure you adjust your idle so it it barely inding. the carb should only have a 1mm opening. when the car is started you should be able to move it back and forth without any resistance.

how much are clutches for lets say the mach 15? isnt it only the clutch shoes you gotta buy?

Sometimes when you melt the clutch, more likely, you may have affected the bearings also. Best bet is to check first before buying/ordering.

You might need the following:
- racing clutch towerhobbies part #lxlw03 $13.99
- clutch bell bearing towerhobbies part #lxm766 $5.99

I am not sure what "4in1" means but if you have a clutch (not centax), the hpi racing clutch will most likely work. Most all of the flywheel have two prongs. Use two of the holes opposite to each other. The extra holes in the clutch are for tuning purposes. Using different hole position to adjust clutch engagement.

Your link points to the hpi racing clutch I mentioned (towerhobbies part #lxlw03).

The two parts I mentioned above should be the only two parts you need.

where do u put that part lxm766 i dont get it sorry never had a hpi 4in1 before for the money is the worth it if i know i'm not going to race just play around

The lxm766 is for your clutch bell. This is the part that most RTR kits will put a poly/plastic part in. If you melted the clutch, the plastic part will most likely warpped. Having this type of clutch will get your playing around more fun.

Sometimes, clutch is the most overlooked part of tuning a car. This is the clutch I used before prior to me going to centax.

There are few cars that can't take the centax clutch. Centax clutch also requires SG crank.
