the big black gear (mine has 66 teeth) I think its a spur gear? but anyway, mine has like bubbles on it. I dont think that is supposed to happen. should i replace it?

how long have u had the spur gear ,but i would replace it bubbles dont sound good.

those arent welds. THe gear is plastic

Maybe somebody used a cleaner that is curosive to plastic on the engine? Just a guess.

do youi think those screws are to tight?

you could try loosening the screws but i really dont think that you have to relplace the gear. the teeth are still there so i cant imagine it being a problem to run with. i would just replace the gear when the teeth are gone. but then gian if you want to buy one spur gears are kinda cheap.

just because something looks different doesnt mean that it will hurt anything.
