Need help installing backplate on OS engine
 

HI, I recieved this motor and I was wondering if anybody can give me a quick help. The backplate came out and I dont know which way does it go in.There is a little groove on one side where should this groove
go. Do you just install face up or to the sides or face down pleae anyoyd can halep me thanks.</p>

Not sure about your particular engine, but on most engines, the part of the backplate that inserts into the engine has a flat spot on it. This points up so the piston has room when it's all the way down after down-stroke.

Check the engine manual (or search on line for it) and see if the exploded parts view helps.

Im just wondering how to put it back in theres a small notch which way should this noth be at the top or bottom . .. im guessing it should be at the top.
