Question on 4x4
I finally finally finally got my car working and took it out a little while ago. The ground is a little damp in spots but no puddles . Anyway my 4x4 turns like crap. I have to completely let off the throtle to turn, once it goes then i can boot it again.
Is this how 4x4's are supposed to work? My bud has his 2wheel out and was driving circles around me, literaly. Also noticed its not actually 4x4, when its grabbing for traction the front right and rear left spin and the other 2 just sit there, again is that supposed to happen? |

Yes.Thats what the diffs are doing, giving power to the wheels that need it.The others dont get power, they have traction. Yes, most 4x4s turn like that,UNLESS you spin the tires and drift through low traction areas, which is more fun to do anyway.:) Btw, what truck you runnin? |
RE: Question on 4x4
Acme raptor with 13.5T hobby wing motor.
Stock motor is actually faster but it is undersized. Just finished gluing traxxas slash tires and hope they work a bit better the the stock ones, which are like balloon tires. |
