Default MX-3x Lipo

Im looking to get a lipo for the airtronics MX-3x. I want to stop spending $$$$ on disposables. What ones are you guys using?

Ive found the venom 3000 11.1 lipo (www.venom-group.com/itemdesc.asp) but want to know if I can avoid spending 36.99 on it. I will if I have to though.

Any ideas?

Edit: upon review of the owner manual, it says "DONOTUSEA3SLIPO" so I guess the venom is out. Plus it is 11.1 v and the nominal on the radio is 4.8v-7.2v.

Any MORE ideas?

MX-3x has an alarm that will remind you if you forget to turn it off. I would prefer to have something I can charge with my venom charger...

there are some nice LIfe packs out there & u dont have to worry about them going flat.

sorry cant really recomend one but i found heaps on google "MX-3x bettery pack"
maby just go for the one with the biggest mAh rating...

How often do u go through batterys, my brother in law has the same controller & the batterys last for ever???

Dont use alkaline battery..... thay are only good for low drain devices like a tv remote
A good set of lithium batterys should last for ever
I use nickel metal hydride rechargeables 2500mah only like $1 each from ebay
just for giggles u could use a 12v car battery in a back pack lol
